Works of art flow out of PJ’s Custom sheds

The masters responsible for a long list of very popular winners at the truck show

It’s no wonder PJ’s Custom Spray Painting and Truck Mechanical were in such high demand ahead of the truck show.

The Rocklea-based business specialises in custom stainless steel, fabrication and creating works of art with paint.

Their handiwork helped Cat Trucks win People’s Choice and Western Star win Truck of the Show bragging rights.

Owner Steve Lemon said that they had prepared 10 trucks for display at the Brisbane Truck Show.

PJ’s are so versatile and deadline oriented that, with some long hours leading into the truck show, they were able to design and finish the work on all 10 trucks in one month.

And judging by the results, they delivered show stopping results.

On the Cat stand, which won Outstanding Manufacturers Display this year, the team at PJ’S prepared the yellow and black CT630LS People’s Choice Truck, the Blue CT630LS, the Silver CT610 and the CT630 Tipper. In fact the CT630 Tipper was painted in a PPG Vibrance Rattlesnake which changes colour with angle and light and is probably the first truck ever to be painted with that colour.

All four of the Cat trucks received stainless accessories, including steps, wings and walk plates.

The CT630LS had the biggest treatment with a full custom paint job and all stainless accessories, custom mudguards, custom tail light bar and seven inch exhausts.

If you are after a new look, new exhaust, or simply a new lick of paint, PJs can do it. Their philosophy is simple. Work with customers to deliver a truck that will meet expectations and requirements.

“At PJ’s we do everything from start to finish. From basic truck repair and servicing, to full custom fabrication, restoration and re-sprays,” Steve said.

PJ’s are expanding and they are looking for diesel mechanics, spray painters and fabricators, call 07 3255 5323.
