Cat Trucks Stand a Finalist for Best Custom Stand in Australasia
Brisbane, Queensland – 21 November 2013 – The prestigious 2013 Brisbane Truck Show’s Outstanding Truck Manufacture Display winner Cat® Trucks has been chosen as one of the top four finalists for the Exhibitions & Events Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) awards event for excellence within the best custom stand category.
The Cat Trucks stand was nominated for the award by the custom stand design and installation company Moreton Hire on the back of its success at the Brisbane Truck Show.
Bruce Ferguson, Senior Account Manager, Moreton Hire, said “The Cat Truck stand was a clear favourite among visitors and hard to miss with its vibrant branding and innovative use of platforms”. All of the five Cat Trucks on display were well revered by the audience, with camera flashes constant on the Cat stand with the audience wanting a piece of the famous brand and good looking trucks throughout the show period.
The highly visible stand featured a wide array of applications, which included a high-tech CT610 water tanker, and a CT630 high polished alloy tipper body with a unrivalled paint colour that one viewer described as “a modern day ‘Mona Lisa’ where the colour changed as you walked past.”
Truck enthusiasts to the stand could also examine the leading edge technology of the Cat C15 engines or walk up high along the gangways to observe the CT630LS close up and step into the spacious interior. Furthermore, the use of signage highlighted CAT’s story in a specialised timeline and the lounge area allowed for customer engagements and presentations.
“The Cat stand at the Brisbane Truck Show was vibrant and engaging: said Kevin Dennis, general manager, Sales & Marketing Australia & New Zealand. “Customers were impressed by the range of trucks on display, and it didn’t take long at all for some dealers to see results from the show, with all trucks on display from the show now out on the road working hard for their respective businesses”.
As one of the largest shows to be held in Queensland, the Brisbane Truck Show was hailed a huge success with more than 37,774 visitors soaking up the atmosphere over the 4 day event.
“This year’s Brisbane Truck Show was the best in memory. Credit must go to our local dealer; Hastings Deering as well as the NC2 team who worked vigorously for months leading up to the event, and certainly drove the vision to deliver such an innovative stand”.
“Also we would like to acknowledge the efforts of the CVIAQ who worked tirelessly with industry suppliers, to execute another high calibre event. It certainly is the best truck show in Australia, and definitely attracts attention from around the globe”. Kevin added.
Cat Trucks will return to Brisbane in 2015 and will again be out to impress the trucking industry in delivering an interactive stand for the audience.
EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio advised that thirty five independent judges cast their votes to advance nominations through to become finalists in the EEAA 2013 Awards for Excellence for Best Custom Stand category, winners will be awarded at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre (SCEC) gala dinner on Tuesday, 26 November 2013.
