JUST two year’s after their debut at the Brisbane Truck Show, the NC² Cat Truck’s stand came packing a punch at this year’s event over May 16-19.
Not only did they win Outstanding Truck Manufacturer Display at the truck show, their Hero Truck won People’s Choice award.
National marketing and communications manager Glen Sharman said the CT630LS was painted in distinctive Cat colours and his hopes that the truck would make a statement came true when the People’s Choice winner was named.
The NC² stand took five days to put together and thousands of dollars, but was relatively low cost compared to some of the million dollar set-ups.
Sharman and his good mate, Hastings Deering business manager for On-Highway Trucks, Gary Johnson, came up with the unique idea to lift up a truck at the Transport Hall of Fame last year.
A popular feature of the stand was the CT630LS lifted on a hydraulic jack, allowing the public to walk underneath and have a look at the undercarriage.
For Cat Trucks to win two awards at the Brisbane Truck Show, just two years after their launch, is proof that the brand has come a long way.
